The Women International Scholarship is for a period of three years 1 available October 2011. Applications are all qualified graduates of the mechanical production or final year students for a doctoral scholarship fully funded in the Rolls-Royce UTC in production engineering at the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom to attend
The Rolls-Royce UTC in Nottingham has access to the facilities of the prior art for carrying out international search Advanced robot manufacturing methods. These include excellent machine tools, robot tooling systems, diagnostics and monitoring, simulation and modeling software and measurement equipment to support the best research projects of quality.

The Women International Scholarship is for research:
Innovative solutions for automatic tool change in-situ/on-wing repair gas turbines. This project is to develop the technical needs of the Rolls-Royce for tooling solutions to automatically and hybrid in-situ/on-wing repair and maintenance of gas turbines, which would also allow self-oriented end-effectors with different functional capabilities, a wide range of could support operations in situ.
This Women International Scholarship is an exciting thesis project that uses a unique combination of academic and industrial challenges for the students' ability, the theoretical and practical aspects of Mechatronics / Mechanical Engineering and manufacturing has improved address.
Students have the first qualification of high quality, at least the equivalent of a British award of the first degree in Mechatronics / Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines from a reputable academic institution, students, undergraduate study in the June / July 2010 with the predictions of academic performance are eligible .

You must be ready, or the rapid development of deep knowledge in Mechatronics / Mechanical design, control systems innovative visualization /, kinematic and / or dynamic analysis and simulation of mechatronic and complex finite element modeling.
