Indo-Spanish Joint Programme of Cooperation Women International Scholarship


The Women International Scholarship Indian and Spanish applicants must write general applications (in accordance with the format in Appendix I) which must be submitted to both the DST and MICINN in parallel. The application must be written in English. Spain applicants are also requested to submit abstract and title of their application in Spanish to MICINN.
Duly forwarded by the host Indian institute, two copies of the project proposal along with one electronic version in MS Word format must be submitted to DST (email- nvasishta@nic.in ). One electronic version must be submitted to MICINN by
the Spanish applicant and further formalized through the Online Application
System (see Spanish national annex).
Each Women International Scholarship project proposal should include:
a) The name and CV of the two PIs, one from India and one from Spain.
b) Project description and work plan, including how the collaboration will be done, with a clear statement about the role of Indian researchers and Spain will play in
project
c) Description of current activities and specific advantages of Spanish and Indian groups respectively
d) Description of expected results and added value of the proposed project.
e) Description of plans for the exchange / visits of scientists, technical missions or other collaborative activities in the project.

Submission of Application
Women International Scholarship To be eligible for consideration, a joint project proposal must be submitted to both the DST and MICINN so as to achieve each side by 12 o'clock midnight local time (each to their respective countries) on May 31, 2011.

Financial support
Funding provided in this call is intended to enhance the capacity of project participants' to collaborate. The program is designed to support the additional costs associated with cooperation with Spanish partner for a researcher India or with Indian partners for a Spanish researcher, such as personal expenses, low, small equipment and travel expenses and an exchange visit to visit. Each host institution is expected to provide basic facilities to researchers, the proposed activities will also be supported by using the applicants' from their own resources that are available.

Women International Scholarship Financial support for exchange visits will be as follows: the sender will provide round-trip plane ticket in economy class to the city of the relevant entries from the host country as well as health insurance. The receiving side would arrange local hospitality (food and lodging expenses) for the visitors. Host institution must be notified in advance of visits are planned in accordance with their specific regulations.

Women International Scholarship All budget items must be in accordance with national regulations that are relevant to each applicant.
